M.J. VOTES IN RUNOFF ELECTION
Today, Houston City Councilman and candidate for City Controller, M.J. Khan cast his ballot for the December 12th Runoff Election at the Metropolitan Multi-Service Center. “As the Early Voting draws to a close, I encourage the citizens of Houston to take this opportunity and cast their ballots for December 12th Runoff Election,” said Khan. “I ask the citizens to vote for me because I have the knowledge, dedication and experience to be the watchdog of the City’s finances and ensure that city spending is transparent and honest.” “I take pride in and cherish our country’s Constitutional Right to vote. As an American immigrant I believe that the right to vote is what makes this country so great, which is why I make it a priority to vote in every election,” said M.J. Khan. While on City council, M.J. Khan has shown that he understands the financial issues which the city is facing and is prepared to lead the city with smart fiscal leadership as City Controller. He has worked to guard tax payer dollars with the proposals for zero-based budgets, 5-year budget plans, process re-engineering and balanced scorecard systems for city departments.
