As City Controller for Houston I pledge to:

• Always guard your hard-earned tax dollars and block frivolous government spending,

• Push for fiscal reform by holding all government entities responsible for detailed ledgers and explanations,

• Improve efficiency through process reengineering and by conducting performance and fiscal audits of City departments and authorities,

• Save the City money by requiring all departments to provide services in a more efficient manner while saving money, 

• Examine the refinancing of debt and reallocating of funds through revenue enhancement and compliance audits.

• Provide tight fiscal management of the City’s affairs,
